    Help page for extracting and setting up a data transfer for Facebook Ads Insights.

    Supported Protocol

    Data Loader: Embulk
    Using the embulk-input-facebook_ads_insights plugin.

    Limitations

    The transfer may fail due to reasons, such as if the access token expires.
    Refer to trocco’s Facebook Ads Insights Connection Settings help document for details on re-authentication.
    Access token re-authentication is required every 60 days. We will notify you as the expiry date approaches.

    STEP 1: General Settings

    Facebook Ads Insights Connection ConfigurationYes-From the Facebook Ads Insights Connection Configurations created in advance, select the one with the necessary permissions for this transfer.
    If you have not previously created any Connection Configurations, click the Add Connection Configuration button to set up a new one.
    Ad Account IDYes-Specify the Ad Account ID of the report to extract.
    Report TypeYes-Select the report type from the following 4 options:
  • account
  • campaign
  • adset
  • ad
    • FieldsNo-Select the fields included in the the report, that you wish to extract. Examples: date_start, adset_name, impressions, spend, clicks, etc.
    For further details refer to the field section under Parameters and Fields, in the Meta for Developers official documentation.
    BreakdownNoNot SetYou can narrow down and retrieve report data for specific dimensions, such as device type, age, gender, and so on.
    For example, if you specify gender the result will be broken down and extracted into multiple rows such as male, female etc.
    For further details, please refer to Insights API Breakdowns, in the Meta for Developers official documentation.
    Extraction Date RangeYes-Enter the date range for the data you wish to extract. Please enter both the start and end dates.
    You can use custom variables to dynamically set the date range relative to when the job executes.
    Attribution WindowNoNot SetPlease refer to the action_attribution_windows section in the Meta for Developers official documentation.
    Action BreakdownsNoNot SetPlease refer to the action_breakdowns section in the Meta for Developers official documentation.
    Unified Attribution SettingsNoDisabledClick the checkbox to enable Unified Attribution Settings.
