Transfer Your Data in Three Steps

Follow the three steps below to set up a data transfer.

1. Create a Connection Configuration

• Create a Connection Configuration for trocco to connect to your data source and destination connectors.
• Please refer to the pages under Connection Configurations, for the setup information on each connector.

2. Create an ETL Configuration

• Create an ETL Configuration to specify how trocco will transfer your data.
• Please refer to the pages under Data Sources and Data Destinations, for detailed information on each connector.

3. Run an ETL Job

• Once the ETL Configuration has been created, run the job.

Steps After Transfer

In trocco you can do more than just transfer your data.
In addition, we offer multiple features required for running your data analytics infrastructure.
Here are some of the most commonly used features.

Data Mart

With the Data Mart feature you can transform and aggregate data by executing SQL queries on the data stored in your target data warehouse.
See Creating a Data Mart Configuration for information on how to set up a Data Mart Configuration.

Workflow

Using the Workflow feature, you can set dependencies (order of execution) between ETL Jobs and Data Mart Jobs, in the form of a DAG (directed acyclic graph).
When executing the Workflow, each job will be run in an intended sequence.

Schedules

trocco comes with a scheduling feature that allows you to set the execution timing for ETL, Data Mart, and Workflow configurations.
With scheduling, jobs can be automatically run at a predetermined time.
