Release Notes - April 2022

Hello! We will bring you the release information for 04/2022!

Data Catalog

Dependency list page added

The displayed dependencies can be filtered and sorted by information such as "creator" and "table name".

Also, the ability to remove user-defined dependencies has been implemented.
You can delete it by clicking the menu button of the dependency you want to delete on the list screen and selecting "Delete this dependency".

Query Editor

Added query saving function

In the query editor, you can now save queries and load saved queries.
It can be used when you want to reuse frequently used queries or share queries with multiple users.

Projects selected at the last launch can now be reused

You no longer need to select your primary project every time you start the query editor.

Metadata search function

Search results screen added

When searching, you can now move to the "Search Results" screen to check detailed information and filter and sort.
The following improvements have been made to the conventional search function.

• Highlight where the search keyword is hit in bold
• Sort results by relevance, table creation date, etc.
• Search results can be filtered by tables, columns, projects, etc.
• Enhanced relevant information for table columns displayed in search results
• Supports searching for table column physical names
  

Registered user-defined metadata can be searched from the search bar at the top of the screen.

If your user-defined metadata has a field of type string, you can now search for values in that field.

Supports PostgreSQL metadata display

You can now browse PostgreSQL metadata in the Data Catalog feature.
If you have created a transfer setting that specifies PostgreSQL as the transfer source and Google BigQuery as the transfer destination, the "Metadata about PostgreSQL" field is displayed in the table information and column information.

In addition to table/column metadata, it is also possible to extract dependencies from foreign key constraints.

Forwarding settings

Zoho CRM added 🎉 to the source

Data can be extracted and transferred using SQL-like queries (COQL) dedicated to Zoho CRM.

Workflow icon has been renewed

Trigger function deprecated

The trigger feature that allows you to define forwarding settings and dependencies between data marts has been deprecated.
The specific date of discontinuation of the function has not been decided.

Please move to a workflow function that can be operated with a GUI and can define more flexible dependencies.

In addition, the following renovations have been added.

• The time lag when updating "User-defined metadata" in the Data Catalog until it is reflected in the search results has been improved.
  • Previously, there was a time lag of about half a day between updating metadata and applying it to searches, but this has been modified to allow immediate searching.
• In the transfer source S3, "tar.gz" was added to the decompression settings.
  • Also, when the decompression setting is tar.gz, the "relative path after extraction" can be set in the same way as zip.
